Seed Bomb Partick!

3pm Sunday 17 June 2007

Come and build your own seed bomb and catapult it into the proposed Tesco site. We provide the seeds, soil and the clay, you provide the imagination to turn Partick into what you would like it to be!

Getting to the event map

At our previous event, which set the world record for the largest ever ‘Mass Massage’, you the people of Partick suggested that an alternative use for this site might be a shared community garden. In response to this vision All Tomorrow’s Particks invite you to join us as we start to make this wish a reality. On Sunday 17 June 2007 we will stage an attack on the un-used space with seed bombs and catapults. Together we will attempt to ‘plant’ a future free from Tesco and start to use the space in a way most community members would prefer.

We will build our bombs together from a selection of carefully chosen seeds (from native flowers and plants) before launching them over the barbed wire from our specially constructed giant catapult. The event is suitable for people of all ages and all equipment will be provided: it's going to be great fun - a chance to meet people, talk about our community and learn about our native plants and flowers.

Join us in our attempt to transform this space into a forest of wildflowers and greenery – just as Partick and NOT Tesco intended.

This is the site of the proposed Tesco Mega-Store. Most of the people in Partick would like to see this space used more creatively. Who'd want to destroy this greenery? We'd prefer to see it even greener!
